RECTANGULAR AIR DUCT MANUFACTURING LIST

We have developed the command to help you easily prepare air duct manufacturing list.In order for the command to give correct results, the working logic must be well understood.It works for metric and imperial system.

Default air duct types in Revit work fine.The duct fittings in the model are separated and calculated according to their family names.

1-Elbow

Duct fittings are taken into the elbow category contain Elbow in the family name.It should have the following parameter names;

1)Duct Width,Duct Height or Width,Height

2)Angle

3)If Center Radius parameter is present, it is taken; otherwise,    150mm radius is taken for metric system and 40 inch for imperial system.


2)Transition

Duct fittings are taken into the Transition category contain Transition in the family name.Attention : To avoid confusion, transition families should not contain a wye or pant name.It should have the following parameter names;

1)WidthOffset ,HeightOffset

2)Duct Width 1 ,Duct Width ,Duct Height 1 ,Duct Height 2 or Lining Width 1 ,Lining Width 2 ,Lining Height 1 ,Lining Height 2

3)Computed LengthIf there is reduction from both sides, it shows its directions. The view is from the large air duct to the small air duct.


3)Tap&Take off

Duct fittings are taken into the Takeoff category contain Tap or Takeoff in the family name.It should have the following parameter names;

1)Duct Width 1 ,Duct Width2 ,Duct Height 1 ,Duct Height 2 or W0 ,W1 ,H0 ,H1

2)Takeoff Length


4)Union

Duct fittings are taken into the Union category contain Union in the family name.It should have the following parameter names;

1)Duct Width ,Duct Height

2)Duct Length


5)Endcap

Duct fittings are taken into the Endcap category contain Endcap in the family name.It should have the following parameter names;

1)Duct Width ,Duct Height or Width ,Height


6)Offset

Duct fittings are taken into the Offset category contain Offset in the family name.It should have the following parameter names;

1)Duct Width ,Duct Height

2)Duct Length 1

3)Offset


7)Te

Duct fittings are taken into the Te category contain Offset in the family name.It should have the following parameter names;

1)Duct Width 1 ,Duct Width 3

2)Duct Hegiht

3)Shoulder


8)Wye&Pant

Duct fittings are taken into the Wye category contain Pant or Wye in the family name.It should have the following parameter names;

Y type;

recommended family : Rectangular Wye Curved Transition -DTL StandartAttention : To avoid confusion, transition families should not contain a wye or pant name.

1)Duct Width 1 ,Duct Width 2 ,Duct Width 3

2)Duct Height  

3)Angle 2 ,Angle 3

4)Radius 1 , Radius 2

2)Depth In
